Since the time we booted out our baby’s nanny around 6 weeks ago, until now we still cant find for a replacement. It’s not that we look wicked that everytime a prospective nanny or sitter is on the doorstep, she immediately backs off because of our looks. Hehe! And I dont think that there’s a rumor floating around that we are so cruel to nannies/ sitters (unless somebody is trying to sabotage us) which makes us to the list of blacklisted prospective employers, since we treat them like members of the family. We are just so particular with baby sitters because they will be entrusted with great responsibilities. Let us not talk about the responsibilities here because I think we need a separate entry for that.
Anyway, how are we managing life without a nanny? Everything is under control. Ha! In my dreams. Our housekeeper now is doubling up for the tasks of the nanny. Actually, her other responsibilities were now unattended. She get to look for them only on weekends when we are around. If we are free, we also try to help her out as much as possible. She might get fed up with the present setup and leave. We cant lose her you know! Not now!
My wife can not just leave her job also and become a full-time mom. We need her pay also to survive. Especially these times when the price of everything is going up.
Just the other day, there was a prospective yaya who applied. Somehow, she was able to meet our standards so we decided to get her. She was supposed to start working today, but she didnt show up. My wifey texted her and found out that she is not coming for some reasons. Whew! I thought our problem is solved already. Grr!
After a few minutes, there’s another prospective yaya. We haven’t seen her yet. But she’s coming tomorrow for an interview.
I’m keeping my fingers crossed… and this is my only prayer: Lord, I hope this is the one!
So this is the new blog name! Hehe! Decided not to drop the word ICE afterall. I think that name is an added factor to my site! Whaat?!
Why Ice. Actually, the word Ice which refers to me cropped up when I was already working. One afternoon, I was able to beat the highest score in the computer game minesweeper. In order to conceal my identity just in case a random checking will be made by the boss on all computer games, I tried to come up with a new pseudo name that was not identified to me. I started with my name and tried dropping some of the letters. Since there are only limited vowels in my name, it would be better to keep them. So, I alternately removed the letters and viola! Ice was born! It started actually like this: .i.c.e – with dots representing the letters removed.
My website address would have been http://www.iceman.wordpress.com. But iceman is no longer available during the time I registered my blog. I opted for yeloman instead. “Yelo” refers to ice in local term.
Why Outlet. This is more of a means of release. Release what? Anything and everything. You will know more soon. 🙂
This site is also sporting a new theme! Hope you guys will like it!
See you around!
Last Friday, we decided to bring Ryx to his Doc after he pooped for about 12 times already. Kaluoy sa baby! We brought a sample of his poop to have it checked at the laboratory also.
The result, it was positive of amoeba. Actually, this was his second time already. The first time was when he was about 9 months old.
Anyway, Ryx was prescribed with some drugs one of which is Eceflora. As usual, we never fail to make a research about the drugs prescribed. Now we come to a dead end. Informartion about this Eceflora is limited. And much worse is, this drug can only be found in the Philippines. Not that I’m underestimating the country, but why only here in the Philippines?
Now to make the situation light, I came across with a blog which was in the same situation I was in. In case you have time, you might want to check it out. It’s funny. The site is
After some developments in my life, I think I need to change my blog site name. ICE SCREAMS… yeah I find it still cool though limited (Sorry I failed to explain why I chose that blogsite name. Pardon me!). This time I’ll choose a name that has something to do with fatherhood. Maybe “DADDY-HOOD” would be a good one. But I’ll still think about it. What about “RANTINGS COMING FROM A DAD?” Ahh, not very appropriate. We’ll see. We’ll see.
